The Office of Academic Innovation at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona required an annual report for the 2025–2026 fiscal year that would effectively showcase the achievements of its departments while presenting large amounts of data in a clear and engaging format. The project focused on designing a comprehensive publication that adhered to the university’s established brand guidelines while highlighting the Office’s mission of fostering creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning experiences for students. To achieve this, I developed a structured layout system that emphasized hierarchy and readability through the use of grids, typography, and consistent spacing. I also incorporated charts, infographics, and visual callouts to make complex statistics more accessible while introducing dynamic design elements that reflected the department’s innovative identity. The final annual report successfully transformed dense, data-driven content into a visually engaging and cohesive publication that effectively communicated the Office’s impact and accomplishments.
